… is the first in a series of nonfiction books about the development of the mafia in the Czech Republic. The books in this series will be subtitled Half the World. They map the emergence and development of organized crime on the territory of Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic after 1989.
The entire project, which the author has been preparing for several years, will have several parts. The first one is dedicated to the Russian mafia, which settled here in the early nineties. It is a project that, while reading, will take you back to this decade in particular, which, in terms of gangsterism, resembled the thirties of the last century in the American Chicago. The series of books with the subtitle Polosvět gradually maps all the development phases of the mafia in the Czech Republic.
