Back then, girls were prettier and had shorter skirts, there were more movies in theaters that were worth standing in line for, and the songs sang about things we understood and whose choruses we remembered after the first listen...
These are exactly the words I greet my listeners every Sunday in the program Zlaté časy with Václav Kopta on Czech Radio Dvojka. And I am very glad that I can welcome you - my dear readers - with the same words.
Together with Radioservis, we have prepared for you a selection of more than nine hundred spoken entries, with which I intersperse the musical numbers of my show. Thanks to the excellent cooperation with the editor Milan Pokorný, we (hopefully) managed to convert my short stories into printed form. It was a bit of an experiment, the result of which made us happy. We hope it will please you too!
