Well-known spiritual author, Carmelite P. Vojtěch Kodet recounts his life story in a comprehensive book interview. We gradually get to know his ancestors, his grandfather, who went through Russian captivity, his father, a former political prisoner, and other family members. Fr. Kodet recalls his childhood in the countryside, his search for a life path, the conditions in the Litoměřice seminary, the priesthood and surveillance by the StB, the restoration of the monastery in Kostelní Vydří or his service as an exorcist. In an open dialogue, he also describes difficult periods of life and opens up topics that are important to him: faith as a personal relationship, forgiveness, healing, the art of discernment or life with God's word.
