Gramotingltangl was Jiří Suchý's program, broadcast from Monday, October 4, 1965, in the early evening by Czechoslovak Radio on the then new wave range of very short waves. The increasingly popular half-hour was broadcast until the summer of 1968, and their total number exceeded six hundred. In addition to Suché, Miroslav Horníček, Ivan Vyskočil and Jiří Šlitr spoke to the audience in this program of clever reflections supplemented by music from gramophone records. Several episodes of GTT were also presented by the duo Šimek + Grossmann. From October 1966 until the summer of 1967, Jan Werich also appeared irregularly in front of the radio microphone, who in his unmistakable way developed thoughts on various topics. There were more than thirty early evening half-hours in which JW performed. Unlike Jiří Suchý's GTT, where the featured music was an integral part of the program, in Werich's pre-prepared texts it was only a certain (albeit at the time - fifty years ago - not uninteresting) filler. In our set, much of the filler music is removed and the emphasis is on Werich's narration. His performance usually ended with the introduction of Jaroslav Ježek's music, or songs V+W+J. These partitions between individual Gramotingltangles were therefore preserved. 11 half-hours of original recordings were found in the Czech Radio archive. Most of the lost parts are supplemented for this set with amateur recordings of radio programs from Karel Koliš's archive.
