Grotesque and exaggeration belong to the classics of successful means of expression in children's literature. The humor of nonsense is a breeding ground for fantasy
child reader, can be caricatured to huge, almost monstrous proportions and still be funny and entertaining. Fairy tales for children by the Slovak author Dušan Taragel are reading, the uniqueness of which lies in the constant presence of unexpected humor, in many cases very black. For example, the disobedient ones here end up in a pigsty (because they don't wash themselves), they have a washing machine drum in their stomach, with which they end up performing in the circus (because they ate so much ice cream that their stomach froze and had to be replaced with a spare part), they are carried away by the ghost ÖZROTTÖ (because their gluttony) or their tongues become stiff for their suing. Worried parents and relatives usually try to save their little darlings, but they still willfully insist on their favorite bad habits. Children like to laugh at grotesques and exaggerations, which is why the bizarre Fairy Tales for Disobedient Children was such a success with Slovak and Czech readers and immediately became a bestseller. The comic text for children also appealed to the audio format. Supraphon is now publishing an expanded version of fifteen stories on 2 CDs (the first CD with only eleven stories was released in 2006). Interpreter Aňa Geislerová comments on the brutal incidents of child heroes in her tender voice, as if those grotesque stories of disobedience were our natural and everyday experience. He doesn't rebuke, he doesn't exhort, he just reports on amazing events that happened somewhere - once happened - didn't happen, with an immediate link to exaggeration. He uses crazy situations to exaggerate or parody them. Her interpretations of obnoxious teachers, angry school principals or eccentric doctors are particularly successful. Aňa multiplies the effect of the text into great fun, which amuses not only children, but also their caring parents.
