Dear reader, dear reader,
from the fact that you are discussing books intended for children of preschool age, I conclude that you have a child of this age at home or in a preschool and, above all, that you want to support the child in his preparation for school.
Some adult readers have already encountered, and had a good experience with, Computer Press' children's edition. Many are already specifically looking for the publications of the author of this book, Jiřina Bednářová, who for many years has successfully focused on supporting the personality development of children of preschool and younger school age. It is also possible that you already know a set of games and exercises between us preschoolers for three to five-year-olds, or a book for five- to seven-year-olds. If you look through them, you may find that the tasks are too easy or rather difficult for your child. You will also notice that the age ranges for which each book is intended overlap (3 to 5 years, 4 to 6 years, 5 to 7 years). As you can see, the author very correctly remembered the developmental peculiarities of children, so she draws attention to us, adults, to the fact that each child develops differently in different areas. Some are better at drawing, others at counting, others know colors earlier, are more attentive or less attentive, speak better or worse. So there is no need to worry that our little girl or boy will not be able to do everything like his older siblings or other children of the same age. We have competent assistants - books prepared by an experienced expert to help where needed. In addition, in them, i.e. in this work, you will find an interesting story that teaches children to listen carefully, cheerful illustrations that lead the child to develop visual perception and drawing (thus also writing) and to expand vocabulary.
If you are at a loss as to which book to get your four year old, I recommend the one you are currently viewing. However, if you find that the tasks are difficult for your child, reach for a book for three- to five-year-olds. Similarly, for a five-year-old child, you can more quickly go to the book Among Us Preschoolers for five- to seven-year-olds.
Just please don't forget that it simply won't work without us, the adults, even if the child already knows how to read. Listening is very important to your child's reading development, so read to him a lot and also work with him on progressively more difficult tasks. You will see that it is more fun than looking at a TV screen or a computer monitor.
