Can they lead mysterious paths even along the river? Certainly yes, but apparently no one has looked for them there yet. So let's be the first and go not only on land, but also along the Moravia River through the region called Slovácko. Only in the dark contours can we see the remains of the church on the Spytihněv hillfort, swallowed up by the river centuries ago, under the surface of the river. Near Jarošov, a streak of smoke emerging from the vegetation alerts us to a village of prehistoric mammoth hunters. From there we will sail to the ramparts of Veligrad-Old Town, where archaeologists discovered the most beautiful gold and silver jewelry.

From the water fortress (Uherská) Hradiště, the next road to Ostroh and to Veselí nad Moravou will not be safe, because there is no escape from the detachments of wild Bočkaj people, Kurucs or Ottoman Turks on fast horses. However, even the train compartment can become fatal if the famous robber and murderer Lecián sits in it against us. That's why we'd rather sit next door with Voivode Jan Klimeš and Jaroslav Hašek, who are leaving for a Balkan adventure. And who knows, maybe we will also experience a great love, perhaps happier than the love of Mánes' model Verunka Čudová for the count from the Bílovice castle, or the "galánečka from Ježov", with whom the writer Vojtěch Rozner fell in love. When we cross the Moravian Sahara, we will drink a glass of wine in Kyjov with the postal clerk Petr Bezruč, who will note in his notebook that "it was always fun in Kyjov, it will always be fun in Kyjov!" Which, of course, applies not only to Kyjov, but also to the whole of Slovakia's Dolňáck .
