This new, corrected and supplemented edition of the only extensive Polish-Czech dictionary presents a comprehensive summary of the vocabulary of the Polish language according to the principles of modern lexicography. The dictionary provides approximately 80,000 entries including about 115,000 Polish terms and 172,000 Czech equivalents. General written and colloquial vocabulary as well as technical terms from many fields of technology, natural and social sciences are processed. Phraseology is richly represented in the slogans. Grammatical information is given directly next to the password words. Concise field and style characteristics as well as meaning and contextual explanations, with which the entries are equipped, support the choice of suitable equivalents during translation.

The dictionary is intended for the general public, but it will also satisfy the requirements of Slavists and translators of professional and beautiful literature, both in terms of scope and in terms of formal processing.
