The collection Light a lamp in your heart (?????) contains 104 short lyrical prose, dominated by the motifs of love, friendship and humility. Small lessons for everyday life are given with great kindness and insight. The prose does not deny inspiration from the teachings of Buddhism, of which the author is a follower, despite numerous cultural peculiarities, they are a universally comprehensible message for members of different cultures. Through Liu Yong's prose, the Czech reader can become familiar with the values ​​and cultural formulas that are important to the Taiwanese, and thus to the Chinese in general, and at the same time gain lessons and inspiration for their own lives. The prose is written in a simple but elegant language, the author communicates his thoughts in a simple, but at the same time spirited and entertaining way. The Czech edition of the collection is conceived as a mirror edition of the prose in the Chinese original and the Czech translation. Thanks to the bilingual format, the publication is suitable both for those interested in Taiwanese and Chinese-language literature, as well as for Czech students of Chinese or Chinese-speaking students of the Czech language.
