We have carefully selected the passwords and translations in such a way that you will find the most frequently used words and phrases of contemporary Russian, both literary, technical and colloquial. In this respect, the work was not easy, because there are practically no interpretive dictionaries that would fully meet the requirement for up-to-date vocabulary. We started from several Russian explanatory dictionaries, mainly from the dictionary of S. I. Ožegov and the New Dictionary of the Russian Language by T. F. Jefremov, and then we drew other entries and phrases from our own corpus, specialized Russian websites or contemporary literature.
Interest in Russian is increasing every year also thanks to the restoration of economic relations with Russia and other states of the former Soviet Union. Hopefully, you will appreciate that instead of many, now obsolete expressions, we offer you a number of new concepts, terms and words used in everyday communication.
